Southern Magnolia
Arbor walk #3, Treekeeper #2164

This adaptable tree has lustrous dark green leaves that are rusty brown below. It has large white flowers in mid summer. The Bracken’s’Brown Beauty’ cultivar has been adapted to survive in colder winter temperatures than the species tree. This is useful because St. Louis is farther north than the standard range of the magnolia.
